Ramachandra Guha is a nitpicking frustrated and blinkered author who has nothing more serious to write about than Hindutva obsessed internet trolls! Outlook magazine itself is a blinkered mainstream magazine that tends to toe the line dictated by the political winds in the country.

At a time when the world is busy combating Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism and the threats posed by it to the world, Indian intellectuals have nothing better to write about than fringe and harmless Internet Hindus. The Indian mainstream media has always been a bunch of cowards toeing the Congress line of Islamic appeasement since the days of Nehru, later Indira Gandhi - the self-obsessed mad queen of India, and now an extremely corrupt and vindictive Congress party.

IBTL Columns

However, the same bunch of Internet Hindus exposed the great media cover up of the 2012 Assam riots wherein journalists like Rajdeep Sardesai had tweeted that they would cover the riots only if a 1000 Hindus were killed! Again the same Internet Hindus had exposed Sagarika Ghose’s fake live interview with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and forced Rajdeep and her to apologize!

However, in the recent article, “Who Milks This Cow?” in Outlook magazine, Guha expresses his anguish at the apathy of the ruling party at the time of the Bhagalpur riots. Curiously, he does not mention that it was the Congress Government of the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi under which the riots happened. He again does not rake up the 1984 Sikh riots that were also presided over, and orchestrated by the Congress Government. He again forgets to mention the continuing saga of rioting in Assam since the 1990's and the Congress Governments apathy to immigration! What about the terrorists attacks on Indian cities around Hindu festivals and Hindu massacres; aren’t these important topics as well?

What is his fear in naming the Congress Government? What is the fear of the editors of Outlook magazine in naming the Congress Government on the front pages and in exposing them and their hand in glove dealings with the Muslim Mullahs? The two together have kept the Muslims in the dustbin of contemporary India and have ruined the prospects of this nation.

Now coming to the second part of the article of Guha wherein he decries Hindu fundamentalists that blog and harass him over email or for that matter his editors. Hindu fundamentalists only write emails and blog. They do not put up videos of beheadings of innocent people. They do not create fictitious email accounts and leave messages in the “draft” folder for Osama Bin Laden to read and direct thereupon! What is more serious? They do not spread the assimilative poison of pseudo-secularists like Zakir Naik who has been banned out of many countries that have a thinking population! Why not write on him Mr. Guha? Do you have the guts to do that?

Zakir Naik’s absurd claims about Osama Bin Laden not being a terrorist should be a far more important topic than fringe Hindu bloggers! That Zakir Naik, a Muslim leader decries Hindu Gods should be a far more important topic about religious hatred than Internet Hindus.

Guha finally admits that he has no real grounding in Hinduism given his “liberal” family background. Yet he claims to be an authority on the subject and writes about Hindu Guru’s like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with so much venom! What does he know and understand about Hinduism that he can bad mouth these people? Can he speak this way about Zakir Naik and hope not to be blown up by fanatic Muslims.

Has Ramachandra Guha visited the border areas of Assam and Bengal? Has he seen the poverty stricken Bangladeshi Muslims rioting for scraps on the Indian side and harassing the locals? Does he understand that this is a huge problem for our country and that Wahhabi money is flowing unhindered there? Why not write about it? Why not write about the fact that Indian Muslims are fed up of immigrant Bangladeshi migrants? Why not write about the hatred brewing for Muslims because of illegal immigration in the entire North-East and not from Hindus alone but Christians as well?

Mainstream Indian media has always depended on advertising and funding from the Congress Government and their black money throwing cronies during election times. It has never had the gall or the patriotic intention to contribute to the Indian nationhood. They propagate and encourage the Balkanization theorists much to the glee of the Anti-India brigade. The US is multi-cultural, multi-racial and is not Balkanized. The media fails to see its role as a pillar of democracy.

The truth is that the Hindu right wingers do not bomb the innocent, they do not even fund decent causes with all their might, most do not even own a single weapon beyond a kitchen knife and will most likely run from a troubled spot or watch from a safe distance. Francois Gautier is trying for years to make a museum of Indian history, depicting the truth as it was, but even for this he cannot raise enough funds! What is Guha and Outlook magazine worried about? Get a life guys?

Talk about how Sufism is being wiped out of Kashmir. Talk about Hindu hurt over the years from Nehru’s betrayal; talk about how poor Muslim taxi drivers endorse Wahhabis, or about the lack of Hindu architecture post-Muslim invasion? The worries of Darul-Uloom over the growing influence of Wahhabism? Interview Salman Khurshid over his comments on why he believes Sharia is outdated? Write about the rise of the Dalit’s and whether it was reservations or education that got them there?

Do something with your life Mr. Guha? If you do not have guts to go all out against the Congress at least do not mistake the trees for the woods and keep your focus on important issues and above all get your facts right!
