There has been a surge in social media. Some recent incidents have again and again proved that it is steadily proving to be a viable alternative to Main stream Media. At a time when paid journalism is out in open in a very disastrous manner, the role of social media is bound to increase. The nationalist activists in social media are today playing an important role in the process of opinion-making in the society. Twitter trends are generally big news in newspapers stating the fact that they demonstrate the thought process of the intelligensia of the country.

But, in the same direction, efforts have not been channelised yet. We need more focussed & organised efforts to make sure that the nationalistic voice is listened to with awareness & attention in the mainstream social structure of the country.

Through this session, IBTL wishes to start a process of Manthan to develop a systematic framework which'll pave the way of a bigger role of social media activists in designing the way in which Bharat should move.
