ISRO successfully places four satellites in orbit

ISRO, Indian Space Research Organisation, has successfully launched four satellites from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh including an Indo-French satellite called Megha Tropiques. Megha Tropiques, with a life cycle of five years, will study the contribution of the water cycle in the tropical atmosphere to climate dynamics. Data from the satellite will be shared the world over.

Apart from Megha Tropiques, ISRO also launched three nano satellites, two of them made by students of IIT-Kanpur and SRM University, Chennai. The third satellite is from Luxembourg.
